The extended wet pattern reflects increasing tropical moisture moving into South Florida, according to the National Weather Service. Weak winds could allow heavy rain to linger over the same neighborhoods, raising the risk of street flooding even when storms are not severe.

Atlantic beaches from Miami-Dade through Broward face an elevated rip-current risk, while the risk is high in Palm Beach County through Friday morning. Anyone entering the water should swim near a lifeguard and follow beach flags, especially as northeast winds and elevated surf continue.
Boaters should also check the latest marine advisories before heading out, with hazardous conditions expected in Gulf waters through Thursday evening. Miami's storm outlook is a substantial update from Hoodline's earlier forecast, as the weekend rain threat now looks broader and more persistent.
