Kylee Morse, the 17-year-old from Bloomfield who was last seen Thursday night at Classic Bowling and Western Skate in Bloomington, returned home safely, Fox 59 later reported. She had last been seen at the venue at around 10:30 p.m.
During the search, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department asked the public for help locating Morse, according to Fox 59 and Greene County Daily World.
What Investigators Know So Far
At the time of the appeal, Morse was described as a white female, 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 115 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, according to the report.
The sheriff’s department asked anyone with information about Morse’s whereabouts to contact the agency. That appeal was part of the effort to locate her before her reported safe return.
How Missing-Child Alerts Work in Indiana
Indiana State Police guidance says there is no mandatory waiting period to report a missing child. It directs law enforcement to prepare a report within five hours of notification, with limited possible delay, and begin an investigation within 24 hours, according to Indiana State Police. Indiana’s AMBER Alert plan sets criteria: the child must be believed to have been abducted and to be in danger of serious bodily harm or death, and there must be enough descriptive information for a broadcast to help.
