Cleveland woke to clear skies and temperatures in the low 40s Thursday, with a bright, seasonable day ahead. Sunshine should push afternoon temperatures near 65 degrees, making for one of those crisp fall days that looks colder from the window than it actually feels outside.
Sunny Thursday And Friday With Light Winds
Thursday will stay dry and sunny, with winds light and variable early before favoring a north to northeast direction at 5 to 7 knots, and an afternoon high near 65. The outlook is nearly identical Friday, when northeast winds of up to about 9 mph will accompany another sunny day near 65 degrees.
Patchy morning fog remains possible Thursday and Friday, particularly outside the urban core and in low-lying or sheltered areas. The National Weather Service Cleveland says conditions should improve by midmorning, with no rain expected in the immediate forecast.
Saturday Morning Brings A Frost And Freeze Risk
The biggest weather change arrives Saturday morning, when temperatures are expected to fall into the 30s across much of the broader region. The National Weather Service is warning that widespread frost is possible, with some sheltered locations potentially dropping into the upper 20s before sunshine sends afternoon temperatures back toward 66 degrees.
Gardeners and anyone with sensitive plants may want to pay attention to the overnight chill.
Warm Sunday Before A Slight Cooldown
Sunday currently looks like the warmest day of the stretch, with sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees.
The dry outlook extends through Monday.
