Nashville is starting Monday with calm, clear conditions and temperatures in the mid-50s, but the day will turn summerlike fast. Patchy fog could briefly slow the morning commute before skies clear and temperatures climb to about 87 degrees under dry, mostly sunny skies.
A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect through 10 a.m. Monday for Davidson County and surrounding parts of Middle Tennessee, with visibility potentially dropping to a quarter-mile or less. Drivers should use headlights, slow down and leave extra space until the fog lifts, according to the National Weather Service.
Record Heat Could Build Through Thursday
Monday night should be clear with a low near 62, followed by a sunny Tuesday reaching around 91 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday are also expected to top out near 91, with forecasters warning that record highs could be challenged and only a small chance of rain.
A cold front is expected Friday, bringing cooler weather to Middle Tennessee.
Cooler Weekend Ahead
Sunday looks sunny, with a high near 69, giving Nashville a distinctly more falllike finish after the week’s late-season heat.
