Comerica Park is getting a full Banana Ball weekend in 2027. The Party Animals will take on the Indianapolis Clowns in a three-game series at the Detroit Tigers' home ballpark, with games set for Friday, June 25, Saturday, June 26 and a newly added Sunday, June 27.

The addition comes after Banana Ball's first trip to Detroit sold out both of its games at Comerica Park this past September, according to MLive. Those debut games featured the Party Animals facing off against the Firefighters, and organizers have now decided Detroit can support a third date on the 2027 calendar.

Fans eager to snag a seat should know the process is not a straightforward online checkout. MLive reports that a random drawing will take place before the event, giving entrants a chance to purchase available tickets, and that fans who are drawn can then proceed through a verification process. Joining the interest list, the outlet notes, does not guarantee the opportunity to buy tickets at all.

Demand Was Already Fierce for Detroit's Debut

Just how competitive is the Banana Ball ticket scramble in Detroit? Nearly 200,000 fans entered the lottery for tickets to the sold-out weekend stop at Comerica Park this year, per WXYZ. That kind of turnout helps explain why organizers are expanding the 2027 run to a full three-game set rather than repeating the two-game format.

The resale market reflected that demand over the summer. On Aug. 12, Vivid Seats listings for the 2026 games started at $289 for the Sept. 18 game and $171 for the Sept. 19 game, the same MLive report notes, while SeatGeek listings that same day started at $237 for Sept. 18 and $198 for Sept. 19. Both 2026 games had been slated for 7 p.m. kickoffs.

Where Things Stand for 2027 Tickets

Anyone hoping to jump in now may already be out of luck for the official lottery. The Savannah Bananas' own ticket page states plainly that the 2027 Ticket Lottery List has closed. Fans can still join a Ticket Interest List to be notified if any tickets become available, or to get information about 2028 Banana Ball World Tour tickets, according to thesavannahbananas.com.

Banana Ball itself is an exhibition professional baseball league that blends sports and entertainment, a format that has turned the barnstorming Savannah Bananas into one of the hottest tickets in the country. Detroit isn't the only city seeing its 2027 slate grow, either — Knoxville's Knox News reports that the tour's 2027 calendar now lists three Knoxville games at Covenant Health Park set for June 3 through 5.

For now, specifics on how many tickets will actually be available for the three Detroit dates, along with pricing for the expanded 2027 series, have not been released. Fans hoping for another shot will need to watch for updates on the interest list rather than expect a guaranteed path to a seat.
