Matt Rife is scheduled to bring his Stay Golden World Tour to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis on Sunday, November 8. The 31-year-old Ohio native told IndyStar that the show’s material pairs dark humor with lighter stories and crowd interaction, and that this date is shaping up to be his favorite of the tour.

The venue’s event listing confirms Rife’s Nov. 8, 2026, performance. In an interview with IndyStar, he said the production is bigger than his earlier local shows. He also recalled enjoying past Indianapolis performances but having little time to explore the city, and said he hopes to do so on this visit.

From Viral Clips to Arena Headliner

Rife’s audience grew after comedy clips went viral on TikTok around 2022; he had previously appeared on Nick Cannon’s improv and sketch show Wild 'N Out. He has since recorded three Netflix specials and toured arenas. His Stay Golden World Tour is described as a worldwide, multi-year run featuring stand-up and crowd work. For Indianapolis, Rife says audiences can expect that mix alongside dark humor and personal stories.

Rife told IndyStar that he builds material from personal experiences and subjects people may be reluctant to discuss, rather than from current events. He described stand-up as a way to step away from the news cycle, and said jokes shared online can lose the tone and timing that shape them in a live performance.

Making an Arena Feel Small

Rife said he wants the audience exchange to feel personal even in an arena with 16,000 people. He described the show as shared storytelling, with the scale and energy of an arena rather than a one-way presentation from the stage.

Rife’s 2023-24 ProbleMATTic World Tour included two performances at Old National Centre in Indianapolis on Oct. 15, 2023, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets for that run were listed at $53.50 to $93.50 plus fees, per IndyStar. At the time, the outlet reported, Rife had amassed 13 million TikTok followers.

Earlier Indiana dates and comedy at the Fieldhouse

Rife’s IU Auditorium shows in Bloomington were originally scheduled for Feb. 14, 2024, rescheduled to May 29, and then canceled, the Indiana Daily Student reported. The Indianapolis performances at Old National Centre were completed; the Bloomington date was not. His Nov. 8 show is scheduled for Gainbridge Fieldhouse, an arena. Gainbridge Fieldhouse also records a separate past comedy event: the ensemble Straight Jokes! No Chaser Comedy Tour, hosted by Mike Epps, stopped there on March 4, 2023, according to the venue’s event listing.

Touring Schedule and Venue Amenities

The North American leg of the 2026 tour is set to kick off Feb. 28 in Newark, New Jersey, and run through Dec. 29 in Oklahoma City, according to Consequence. The outlet also reports that Rife plans to introduce a new 360-degree in-the-round stage design in select markets, though it's not yet clear whether the Indianapolis date will use that setup. Consequence additionally notes that Rife's holiday standup special, Unwrapped – A Christmas Crowd Work Special, is slated to debut on Netflix beginning December 2.

For Indianapolis ticket holders, Gainbridge Fieldhouse's event page lists several accessibility and family features available for the show. Nursing mothers rooms are located at Section 2 and Section 119, while a sensory room for a calm environment is also located at Section 119. Sensory bags and weighted lap pads can be requested at Guest Services desks at Sections 2, 119, and 206/207, and the venue says strollers will be accommodated and stored near the ticket holder's seat.
