Miami is starting Saturday with sunny skies and temperatures near 75 degrees. The city should warm to about 84 degrees under mostly sunny skies, though a slight chance of rain showers arrives after 5 p.m. and lingers into the evening.
Minor Coastal Flooding Continues Through Sunday
A Coastal Flood Statement remains in effect for coastal Miami-Dade County through Sunday evening. The National Weather Service Miami says isolated minor flooding could leave water on low-lying roads and property, so drivers should avoid flooded roadways.
The concern is tied in part to the King Tide cycle running through Monday, when unusually high tides can push water onto vulnerable coastal streets. Beachgoers should also note that a moderate rip-current risk continues along the Palm Beaches through the weekend.
Sunday And Early Week Stay Mostly Sunny
Sunday looks quieter, with mostly sunny skies, a high near 83 degrees, northeast winds around 7 to 9 mph and a 20% chance of showers.
Monday and Tuesday should remain mostly sunny, with highs near 82 degrees. Monday will have northeast-to-east winds between 9 and 13 mph. Overnight lows will hover in the mid-70s, keeping the early week warm by South Florida standards.
Rain Chances Rise Again Midweek
Veterans Day brings partly sunny skies and a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms after 1 p.m., with a high near 83 degrees. The forecast turns wetter Thursday and Friday, when rain-shower chances rise to about 40% and Friday's high slips to around 78 degrees.
Hoodline's earlier forecast called for a generally sunny and dry Saturday and a mostly sunny Sunday, while coastal flooding remains the main near-term nuisance. Saturday plans look largely weather-friendly, but a light rain option could come in handy late in the day.
