"It’s such a tiny space and we made it work for ten years, but it just wasn’t possible anymore,” said owner Monica Lomas.

The Gangway opened in 1910, but didn't publicly identify as a gay-friendly space until 1961.

Customers can get synthetic, silk and mink eyelash extensions.

Ideas include gallery events, yoga classes, dance and theatrical performances, or even culinary ventures.

A change in city law last year created two areas where pot stores could set up shop.
