With the North Beach Festival in the rear view, the neighborhood returns to its normal pace this weekend—which is to say, still pretty hectic. Take your pick below, and let us know if we missed anything
Father's Day
You didn't forget, did you? Father's Day is this Sunday, so if your pops is in town and the Mama's line is too long, there are plenty of other options to grab a bite, especially around Washington Square Park. Original Joe's and Acquolina have outdoor seating for solid people-watching, and Park Tavern not only has outdoor seats, but a special Father's Day menu, too. While you're in the area, maybe swing by Goorin Bros. and treat Dad to a bit of hat shopping. If you're brave enough to leave North Beach's boundaries, nearby events include a Father's Day Scotch and cigar night at Urban Hound in Union Square and a Father's Day beer brunch cruise from Hornblower on the Embarcadero.
