It's Friday, and the Upper Haight's been all over the place this week. Let's jump right in. 

Our recent retail turmoils have slowed down, although Burger Urge is undergoing a change of ownership. Their future is still uncertain, but we'll keep an ear to the ground. 

Also in retail, yesterday's story about Decades of Fashion getting searched by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has been updated: it turns out dozens of items were found. Decades was cited, and the District Attorney's office may decide to press charges.

We also learned this week that Park Station Capt. John Sanford's efforts to arrest pot dealers in the Haight will continue, regardless of whether the DA decides to prosecute every case. As for whether Sanford will also be cracking down on off-leash dogs? Still no verdict. The February crime retrospective also saw a broken window, a warrant violation, and a minor arson incident. 

And finally this week, we learned that the Haight Ashbury Street Fair contest is open for submissions. Go forth and art, citizens!
