Believe it or not, the weekend is almost here. And of course, we have a few ideas on how to use your much-deserved free time right.

If keeping the young'uns entertained is on the to-do list tomorrow, Yerba Buena has a couple of tricks for you. First, the California Historical Society is hosting a "History For Half Pints" session all about Earth Month. There will be craft projects using recyclable materials, and a mindfulness dance workshop at noon. Meanwhile, just around the corner, Annie Street Plaza transforms into the Yerba Buena Kid's Club from 12-2pm. The event features a bouncy house, bubbles, music and more.

While spats of rain are on the horizon, fans of hot gooey cheese won't let that stop them from getting down to SoMa StrEat Food Park this Saturday for the Nacho Typical Festival, co-hosted by Broke-Ass Stuart. From 11am to 6pm, rain or shine, vendors will be serving up all sorts of nacho concoctions while live bands entertain the hungry masses.

Moving on to the art world, Root Division's Second Saturday group exhibition launches this weekend, with a focus on artists using unconventional processes and raw materials unexpected ways. It's also a precursor to TASTE, the nonprofit's upcoming fundraiser featuring food-inspired art (and art-inspired food) crafted onsite by more than 20 notable local chefs and mixologists.

Finally, if you're looking for a job in the cannabis industry, suit up and bring your resume down to City Nights from 12-4pm this Sunday. They have a slew of companies lined up to meet with candidates. Just be sure you're ready for a wait.
