As many Inner Richmond customers have noticed, popular burger joint Uncle Boy's has covered up its windows and posted a sign on its front door, informing customers of a two-week hiatus.

Not to worry, though; as manager John E. reassures us, Uncle Boy's is just going through some remodeling. The main changes, we're told, will focus on improving seating and slightly downsizing the menu to reduce wait times.

"We are aiming to serve our customers with better and faster service, and we foresee the changes we are making will surely help us achieve that," John says.

Prior to the temporary closure, the seating arrangement at Uncle Boy's consisted of several small tables along the wall opposite the grill, and bar seating by the window.

Some of the more popular items on Uncle Boy's current menu include the Cowboy Burger (stuffed with bacon, crispy onion rings, and BBQ sauce) and the Hot Mess Burger, which comes with hot sauce and plenty of napkins.

The burger joint was originally slated to reopen on November 1st, but the renovations were slightly delayed. Uncle Boy's is now aiming to be back in business by mid-November.
