A new Cajun and Korean restaurant, offering classic New Orleans dishes, Korean specials and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. The fresh addition to Marigny, called Morrow's, is located at 2438 St. Claude Ave.

The new eatery is the brainchild of Lenora Chong and Larry Morrow, a mother-and-son duo that teamed up to start a new business. Morrow is an events promoter who promotes concerts and events around the city, and Chong, who hails from Korea, is in charge of the kitchen.

Diners can expect to see a menu that blends these two cultures together with items like crawfish étouffée ($14), Morrow's fried chicken ($13), bibimbop ($14), Korean barbecue ($19) and more. Round out your meal with a peach cobbler ($8), bread pudding ($8) or a brownie à la mode ($8). (See the full menu here)

Morrow's has received mixed reviews thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp.

Shermicya S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 22, said, "This was my second time at Morrow's, totally amazing experiences each time. I had a taste of everything the first time, but today I had the bomb shrimp and grits ... everything was made to order and fresh."

And Robin L. said, "All-around beautiful atmosphere. Very intimate! But was able to accommodate large and smaller parties. The staff were very friendly and respectful and weren't hounding you to place an order."

Head on over to check it out: Morrow's is open from 4–10 p.m. on Monday, 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday.
