Looking for a tasty Spanish meal near you?
Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top Spanish restaurants around New Orleans, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to venture next time you're on the hunt.
1. Barcelona Tapas

Topping the list is Barcelona Tapas. Located at 720 Dublin St., the Spanish haunt, which specializes in paella and tapas, "is essentially a taste of Spain with a New Orleans accent — and is crafted with both, the outmost respect for your health and the highest quality ingredients," according to the business' website. Barcelona Tapas is the highest rated Spanish restaurant in New Orleans, boasting 4.5 stars out of 89 reviews on Yelp.
2. Lola's

Next up is Bayou St. John's Lola's, situated at 3312 Esplanade Ave. With four stars out of 249 reviews on Yelp, the tapas bar and Spanish spot has proven to be a local favorite.
Look for traditional Spanish fare like mariscos, a Spanish-style seafood soup with shrimp, calamari, scallops, and vegetables; ajoblanco, an Andalusian almond soup that's served cold; and a choice of meat, seafood, or vegetarian paellas made with arborio rice or fideuas made angel hair pasta.
3. Los Catrachos

Stroll down to 3001 Tulane Ave. and you'll find Los Catrachos — another top choice, with Yelpers giving the Honduran spot four stars out of 25 reviews.
Get ready for offerings like pastelitos de carne, stuffed with an hearty mix of ground beef and onions; pechuga a la plancha, a grilled chicken breast smothered in a caramel glaze; and maduros, ripe plantains cooked in lard. On certain weekends customers will find special dishes like sopa de caracol, which is a Caribbean-style conch stew made with coconut milk.
