This is Galette, but you can call her Gal! She was found on the street during the cold blast and is so happy to sit on a warm sofa. She's very friendly and affectionate and loves to play with other dogs! She’s still got some puppy energy but will quiet down and just hang out. Gal is really goofy: either loving on you or smiling at you or tilting her head in curiosity. Mostly potty trained so far.

Hershey is a sweet male corgi and chihuahua mix staying at Metro Mutts, Inc.

Hershey gets along well with cats and dogs. Metro Mutts, Inc., however, thinks he will do best in a home without small children. He is already house-trained. Hershey is neutered, and he has had all his shots. Hershey is a special needs pet, so please inquire about his specific care requirements.

When he arrived, Hershey had a massive hernia and had to have surgery. He has finished all of his medicine, is fully healed and went to a foster home. Hershey is a Corgi mix about 10 years old. He is mostly blind. He bumps into things but he has a great sense of smell. He needs a direct path to the backyard and some walks to lose weight. He doesnt mind other mellow dogs or cats but would not do well with children around. Since he can't see, he has to get to know you other ways so he can trust you. He's a great little dog.

Shorty is a 5-year-old, 30-pound Jack Russell mix with the body of a basset hound. He is a super sweet, submissive boy. He is still timid and likes to be in his kennel — it's his safe spot. He needs a low key home with a secure fence. He doesn't like being on a leash but he tolerates it as long as you secure him very well. He is afraid of loud noises and sudden movements. He does okay around other small dogs. He needs someone with the patience to let him come around on his own.

Summer is happy to keep company with other dogs. Her vaccinations are already up to date, and she's spayed. She is already house-trained.

Notes from Summer's caretakers:

This petite girl, from what we can tell, is good with other dogs and people. She has a very submissive nature and responds quickly to correction. She walks on a leash well although she has a lot of built-up energy when we first get her out of the cage. Poor baby just needs some regular exercise! She’s a very sweet girl!
