Loup, dachshund mix

Loup is a male dachshund mix currently residing at Take Paws Rescue.

Loup is ready to make friends, and he'll get along great with other dogs. He has mastered his house-training etiquette. He's been vaccinated.

Notes from Loup:

Hi my name is Loup (pronounced “loo”).  I do well on a leash and prefer short walks. I’m really low key and I love to snuggle. I’m a bit wary of larger dogs but do well with small dogs. I am kennel trained and house trained. I am also great with kids. So if you want the cutest little lap dog you’ll ever meet, pick me and be my furever home!

Mère is a winsome female terrier mix in the care of Take Paws Rescue.

Mère will get along great with other dogs. No need to worry: She is already house-trained. She has been vaccinated.

Here's what Mère's friends at Take Paws Rescue think of her:

This is Mère (mom in French)! Mère is approximately 1-2 years old and fully grown at around 30 pounds. She is some type of terrier mix with the sweetest temperament. She is very calm, and always welcomes some love! She is very well behaved and has an overall wonderful personality. Nyx, shar-pei

Nyx is a female shar-pei dog being cared for at Animal Helper.

Nyx will get along great with your other dogs. She is looking for cat-free household. Nyx is spayed and vaccinated. She has mastered her house-training etiquette. Nyx is a special needs pet, so please inquire about her specific care requirements.

Here's what Nyx's friends at Animal Helper think of her:

Nyx arrived skinny and terrified of life. She had tape worms and fleas as well as eye, ear and skin infections. She's on the mend now and loves her medicated baths. She makes friends easily with treats. She just needs someone with patience.  She's great in the car and on the leash. She will need medicated bathes due to her excessive wrinkles. She'll need high-quality food to keep her skin in top shape.

Galette, Labrador retriever and beagle mix

Galette is a winsome female Labrador retriever and beagle mix being cared for at Take Paws Rescue.

Galette likes to socialize, and she loves other dogs. She has been vaccinated. She is already house-trained.

Notes from Galette's caretakers:

This is Galette, but you can call her Gal! She was found on the street during the cold blast and is so happy to sit on a warm sofa. She's very friendly and affectionate and loves to play with other dogs! She’s still got some puppy energy but will quiet down and just hang out. Gal is really goofy: either loving on you or smiling at you or tilting her head in curiosity. Mostly potty trained so far.

Hershey, corgi and chihuahua mix

Hershey is a sweet male corgi and chihuahua mix staying at Metro Mutts, Inc.

Hershey gets along well with cats and dogs. Metro Mutts, Inc., however, thinks he will do best in a home without small children. He is already house-trained. Hershey is neutered, and he has had all his shots. Hershey is a special needs pet, so please inquire about his specific care requirements.

From Hershey's current caretaker:

When he arrived, Hershey had a massive hernia and had to have surgery. He has finished all of his medicine, is fully healed and went to a foster home. Hershey is a Corgi mix about 10 years old. He is mostly blind. He bumps into things but he has a great sense of smell. He needs a direct path to the backyard and some walks to lose weight. He doesnt mind other mellow dogs or cats but would not do well with children around. Since he can't see, he has to get to know you other ways so he can trust you. He's a great little dog.

Shorty, Jack Russell terrier and Basset hound mix

Shorty is a male Jack Russell terrier and Basset hound mix currently residing at Metro Mutts, Inc.

Shorty gets along well with other dogs. Shorty is looking for a home without small children. He is already neutered and vaccinated. He is already house-trained.

Notes from Shorty's caretakers:

Shorty is a 5-year-old, 30-pound Jack Russell mix with the body of a basset hound. He is a super sweet, submissive boy. He is still timid and likes to be in his kennel — it's his safe spot. He needs a low key home with a secure fence. He doesn't like being on a leash but he tolerates it as long as you secure him very well. He is afraid of loud noises and sudden movements. He does okay around other small dogs. He needs someone with the patience to let him come around on his own.

Summer, terrier mix

Summer is a lovable female terrier mix being cared for at Take Paws Rescue.

Summer is happy to keep company with other dogs. Her vaccinations are already up to date, and she's spayed. She is already house-trained.

Notes from Summer's caretakers:

This petite girl, from what we can tell, is good with other dogs and people. She has a very submissive nature and responds quickly to correction. She walks on a leash well although she has a lot of built-up energy when we first get her out of the cage. Poor baby just needs some regular exercise! She’s a very sweet girl!
