A fatal shooting has resulted in one man's death and left another injured at Jackson Park on Chicago's South Side. As reported by Chicago Sun-Times, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon prompting a response from Chicago police following a ShotSpotter alert at around 1:50 p.m.
The two victims, found by officers near the 2000 block of East 67th Street, were identified as a 39-year-old man, Milton Coleman, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and a 25-year-old man, who was shot in his shoulder, face, and thigh. Coleman was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center, as confirmed by both police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, the 25-year-old remains in fair condition at the same hospital.
