Jefferson Parish has invited local food service businesses to participate in a new dining venture at Lafreniere Park. The recently announced project, The Pointe at Lafreniere Food Pavilion, will feature four restaurant kitchens, a spacious common dining area, and shared restroom facilities. This initiative aims to enhance the park experience by offering visitors a variety of affordable food and refreshments in the scenic surroundings of the park's lagoons, according to the Jefferson Parish official website.
The Lafreniere Park Area Development Corporation (LPADC) is seeking a diverse group of food service operators to promote inclusivity and variety. Each selected business will have the opportunity to develop its own unique concept within the shared space. Councilwoman Arita Bohanan expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that The Pointe at Lafreniere Food Pavilion will provide a family-friendly space for affordable food and drinks, enhancing the park's appeal for residents and visitors.
The call for proposals outlines an initial one-year term with potential renewal options, detailed in the RFP available on the Jefferson Parish website. Interested businesses must submit full proposals by October 2. A mandatory pre-proposal site review is scheduled for September 18, offering interested parties a chance to gather essential information. All RFP-related queries must be submitted in writing by September 25, giving applicants time to refine their submissions.
