Late on Saturday night, the New Orleans Fire Department responded to a 911 call at an apartment located at 1570 Conti Street. Upon arrival, the firefighting team discovered minor fire damage and light smoke throughout the premises. The building's sprinkler system had largely contained the situation prior to their arrival. The victim informed authorities that an acquaintance, described as a middle-aged man, was responsible for starting the fire following an altercation between the two.
