Castro residents and visitors searching for warm fun buns and dough boys will now have to find a new place to satisfy your appetite.
Castro bakery Chadwick's (2375 Market Street) has called it quits after nearly three years in the Castro. The bakery's last day was Sunday, November 24.
Chadwick's announced the closure on its social media page. Chadwick's did not respond to Hoodline's request for comment.

Chadwick's was founded by owner Michael Evans and managed by Aran Van Ardsdale.
"It’s been a pleasure serving our community for nearly 3 years with food that makes us all feel loved," wrote Chadwick's. "However, it is with a heavy heart we inform you that we are shuttering Chadwick’s on November 24, 2024."
"We wanted to thank you for your continued support in our Fun Bun & Focaccia adventures," added Chadwick's.

Chadwick's opened in January 2022 in the former Subway sandwich location. The bakery was located on the ground floor of the two-story building that also includes Castro nightclub The Café (2369 Market).
Subway, as you may recall, closed in 2021 after many years in the Castro.
Chadwick's primarily offered its "fun buns," which were similar to cinnamon rolls and were topped with cream cheese icing. Small, 7-inch personal pizzas (dough boys) were also available for lunch, and the bakery also sold focaccia along with various coffee and soft drinks.

"We leave you with fond memories of our delicious offerings and hopefully can inspire the discovery of your next favorite treat," said Chadwick's.
"Thank you for your patronage over the years. We will all miss you very much," added Chadwick's.
