
The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) has issued a public appeal to assist in tracking down an individual suspected of theft by fraud in the city's Eighth District. The NOPD released information regarding the investigation, seeking help to identify and locate the suspect connected to fraudulent credit card transactions.
According to the NOPD News, the incident was uncovered on November 17, 2024, when a victim noticed that his wallet had gone missing. On looking, he discovered notifications about potential fraudulent activity occurring the same day. Detectives working the case have since determined that the suspect, whose image has been circulated, made use of the victim's credit cards.
Individuals with information about the suspect's identity or whereabouts, or any other details that could help the investigation, are urged to contact Eighth District NOPD detectives at (504) 658-6080. Alternatively, tips can be submitted anonymously to Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Authorities aim to bring the suspect to justice and rely on the public’s help to maintain community integrity by holding those who commit fraud accountable.
