Two men were injured in a Pompano Beach shooting late yesterday evening. The incident, which occurred shortly after 9 p.m., resulted in both victims sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. Broward Sheriff Office's deputies, alongside Pompano Beach Fire Rescue, arrived at the 3100 block of North Andrews Avenue responding to the reports of gunfire, as WSVN reports.
The two men found with gunshot wounds were quickly transported to a local hospital. The Broward Sheriff's Office has not released information about any suspects or motives involved in the incident. However, they are actively seeking any tips that could possibly to lead to further understanding or apprehension. The investigation took place behind the Land 'N' Sea Distributing warehouse, an area presumably quieter in the night's cloak.
NBC Miami shared that the shooting occurred close to 9:09 p.m., though additional details about the victims or the circumstances leading up to the incident remain scarce. This part of Pompano Beach, typically bustling by day with the comings and goings of goods and services, was thus turned into an unexpected nexus of violence.
Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information. Individuals can contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS and might be eligible to receive a reward of up to $5,000. Importantly, tipsters can remain anonymous, offering a veil of protection for those hesitant to become openly involved.
