Boca Raton was the scene of an armed robbery late Tuesday night when an unidentified man targeted a local Walgreens. According to CBS12, the Boca Raton Police Department responded to the incident at the store located on 1001 SW 2nd Avenue after the suspect, wielding a black semi-automatic firearm, coerced a cashier into handing over money.
Police reports and eye-witness accounts suggest the robber, described as a male of average build, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6, in his mid to late 20s, was last seen sporting a black hooded sweatshirt, gray jeans, and black shoes, he wore a black mask and gloves to conceal his identity. Following the crime, he was observed leaving the store with the register tray. Despite the quick reaction of local law enforcement, the suspect remains at large and the investigation is ongoing.
The Boca Raton Police Department is actively seeking any information that the public might have regarding the individual responsible for the armed robbery.
