St. George, a peaceful city typically nestled quietly in southwestern Utah, has been disrupted by a violent act. Two individuals were rushed to obtain medical attention after an episode of aggression wielded through a blade. The incident, which occurred late Friday night, placed Elian De Jesus Arias Sierra, a resident of the city, behind bars on suspicion of an attempt to utterly disrupt the lives of these two individuals.
Reports filed by the St. George Police describe the event as unfolding at around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of 2000 West and 1400 North. According to KUTV, upon their arrival, officers located the victims who fortunately were found to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The gravity of this encounter however is severely felt, as Sierra now faces two counts of attempted murder, infused with charges of aggravated assault, illegal weapon possession, drug-related offenses, and intoxication.
This stabbing incident is being treated with the utmost severity by local law enforcement. But as they wade through the murky waters of justice, the St. George Police are urgently seeking for the community to step forward with any knowledge they may hold. "Anyone with any information is asked to contact St. George Police at 435-627-4300," as reported by FOX13.
With the suspect in custody, there is a collective breath to be had. Yet the Police Department does not pause, they continue to implore the public's assistance. As obtained by St. George News, Officer Tiffany Mitchell called out to the community, sending a clear signal that any fragment of information could be crucial.
