Yesterday morning, the Tamarac community was confronted with unsettling news. Onelio Elias Garcia, 31, was found dead near his residence in the 5200 block of North State Road 7. Family members, who discovered the tragedy, suggest that Garcia's death may be tied to his struggles with alcohol, as reported by Local 10 News.
While the official cause of death awaits confirmation, Garcia's own family has stepped forward to voice their suspicions, they suspect that his habit of heavy drinking could have played a significant role. However, they have also stated, they see no signs of foul play at this juncture, as detailed in a Miami Daily Life report. Garcia, remembered by his family, leaves behind two children—a son and a daughter, ages 10 and 9.
The incident has prompted discussions within the community about the consequences of excessive alcohol consumption, as people await further details from the ongoing investigation by local authorities. In a statement obtained by Miami Daily Life, Garcia's family expressed, "We are deeply saddened by this loss."
