The Weber County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after receiving a distress call shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday. Lieutenant Sean Endsley, in an interview with KSL, disclosed that a bystander bravely managed to move the vehicle and free the woman from the grim embrace that pronounced her last moments in Ogden Valley, northeast of Huntsville.

Following the initial investigation, officials, having sifted through the details of the event, concluded that the actions were accidental. "The Investigation into this case has revealed no evidence of foul play. It appears the driver being pinned by the vehicle was the result of an accident, and not due to the actions of any other person,” was the official line, as reported by ABC4.
