
An ordinary traffic stop by Mt. Juliet police led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man from Cordova, TN, after he was observed littering near S. Mt. Juliet Road and I-40. The Mt. Juliet Police Department shared on social media that, upon further investigation during the stop, it was uncovered that the individual was wanted for Aggravated Assault out of Knox County.

Officers took the wanted man into custody, and he now awaits extradition at the Wilson County Jail, with the initial act of discarding trash improperly on public roads ironically acting as the catalyst for his capture.
