New Orleans Police have issued a public call for assistance in tracking down a man accused of theft, identity theft, and access device fraud. The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Todd Joseph Francis, is currently the subject of an arrest warrant.
According to NOPD News, the incident in question took place mid-April when Francis allegedly swiped a package from a porch on the 1200 block of North Tonti Street. Within the pilfered parcel was a credit card, which Francis reportedly used soon after to go on a spending spree, racking up multiple fraudulent purchases.
Francis, whom authorities describe as a Black male born on March 15, 1992, has now become the focus of the New Orleans Police's search operations. The department has circulated his photo in hopes that someone in the community might come forward with information leading to his capture. New Orleans residents are urged to watch for Francis and report any sightings to authorities.
