East Medford is gearing up for a new addition to its dining scene with the planning of a commercial development that will house a pizza restaurant and a coffee shop, as reported by the City of Medford's official website. The development, named Harbor City & Ollie’s East, is brought to life by Roxy Corner, LLC, and will sit at the southeast corner of Hillcrest Road and North Phoenix Road, promising to offer locals fresh dining options accompanied by the convenience of drive-thru service.
The project encompasses Harbor City Coffee and Ollie's Pizza, connected yet distinct entities under the same commercial umbrella; Harbor City Coffee, occupying a modest 960-square-foot area, will cater to the caffeine enthusiasts of the area, while Ollie's Pizza will spread over a more generous 2,700-square-foot space ready to serve up slices to the pie aficionados; both establishments will offer drive-thru windows to appease the hustle of the modern-day patron. In addition to the mainstays, a courtyard poised with covered seating, a fire pit, and an inviting turf play area will enhance the communal atmosphere. Furthermore, the venue's design allows for the hosting of three food trucks, offering variety and flair with ready-to-go parking and utility connections.
As reported by the City of Medford's announcement, construction is expected to kick off in August 2025 after receiving a nod of approval from the Site Plan and Architectural Commission on July 18; this was confirmed by the contractor involved in the development. Final orders for the project will be decided in the upcoming Friday meeting, setting the stage for the commercial area's transformation.
