
Residents of the Sandstone Lakes neighborhood in Fishers were evacuated as the Fishers Fire Department responded to a fire in a garage. The fire spread but was contained before reaching the rest of the house. All residents were evacuated safely, with no injuries reported. The home sustained smoke and water damage, as reported by the Fishers Fire Department.
A fire damaged a building and caused external harm to the side of a garage. The fire department battled the blaze while also dealing with high heat. Two firefighters required on-site treatment for dehydration, but both are now in good condition. The Fishers Fire Department recognized the efforts of its team and acknowledged the support of the Fishers Fire Corps and Fishers Police Department during the incident.
A fire in Fishers displaced multiple residents, but the fire department's prompt response helped prevent further damage. "We’re proud of our entire team’s effort and dedication in today’s heat and grateful for a safe outcome for the residents," said the department. The community is now focused on supporting the displaced individuals as recovery efforts continue.
