
A Magna neighborhood faced a harrowing disruption after a two-car accident led to a vehicle striking a home and severing a gas main. Residents living near Ensign Park Drive had to evacuate the area as a safety measure against potential hazards presented by the leaking gas. ABC4 reported on the incident, describing how the collision caused one of the cars to careen into the house, resulting in a substantial gas leak.
The Unified Fire Authority, in response to the accident, cleared a quarter-mile radius around the impacted home. Simultaneously, a reverse 911 call was put into effect, warning people of the immediate dangers. As a consequence, some residents opted to shelter in place, while others evacuated as per the advice of authorities.
