The City of New Orleans Neighborhood Engagement Office (NEO) is teaming up with stakeholders to kick off the school year with the All In Treme Back-to-School Fair. Scheduled for August 1, 2025, at 3PM, the event promises to boost community spirits and provide essential supplies for the upcoming academic journey. According to the official announcement, the fair will take place at the Treme Recreation Center located at 900 N. Villere St.
For those driving to the event, free parking is available in a lot at Basin St. and N. Villere St, right behind the recreation center. The fair is not just about handing out freebies – it's an opportunity for families to connect with neighbors, local organizations, and dive into the cultural festivities. Attendees can look forward to walking away with not only essential school supplies but also with a sense of community strength.
Highlighted giveaways for the day include free laptops and over 2,000 backpacks, coupled with school supplies and haircuts, all offered while supplies last. The Councilmember King, Starbucks, and One Heart NOLA are contributing to the cause, showcasing a united front in support of education and local youth. Families can also indulge in live entertainment and free food, adding to the fair's ambiance and celebratory vibe as the summer break comes to a close.
