The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued the following forecast for the coming week. Today’s high is expected to reach about 85 degrees with a northeast wind at 5 to 10 mph under fair and breezy conditions. Tonight, skies will mostly clear with a low near 74 degrees.
According to the National Weather Service, similar conditions are expected Tuesday morning, with a slight chance of showers increasing to a possibility of thunderstorms after 10 a.m. under mostly sunny skies. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
On Wednesday, the chance of showers and thunderstorms drops to 20 percent after the afternoon. The forecast calls for a high near 87 degrees with a northeast wind around 10 mph.
Later in the week, temperatures are projected to rise slightly. Thursday night is forecast to be clear with a low around 75 degrees and an east wind at 5 mph becoming calm. Friday’s high is expected near 91 degrees.
The weekend forecast shows sunny conditions with a high near 90 degrees on Saturday and evening lows in the mid-70s with light southeast breezes. Sunday is also expected to be sunny with a high near 89 degrees.
