The Noblesville community breathed a collective sigh of relief as the Noblesville Police Department announced the safe location of Gene Saunders, aged 66, who went missing and prompted a statewide Silver Alert. Information from the Noblesville PD's social media update confirmed that the Silver Alert has been canceled following his safe recovery. The police department expressed gratitude for the public's assistance.
In the hours leading up to the discovery, Noblesville Police responded to an initial report Sunday evening concerning the disappearance of Saunders. Established protocol was followed, with Silver Alert disseminated promptly after assessing Saunders' situation due to his cognitive impairment. He was described as a Black male, 5’ 8” in height, and weighing between 135-150 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. His attire at the time of disappearance included red/black pajama pants, a black shirt, and a green jacket, and he was last seen driving a grey 2021 Honda Accord, Ohio license plate JUE9904.
