
The New Orleans Fire Department battled a two-alarm fire at an Algiers apartment complex early yesterday morning, where one adult and two cats were rescued from the blaze. As reported in a press release on the New Orleans Fire Department Facebook page, the NOFD quickly responded to the emergency at a residential building on MacArthur Boulevard, successfully containing the fire to six units and averting its spread to other areas of the complex.
The New Orleans Fire Department reported one injury and 14 residents displaced by the fire. The cause is under investigation, and the condition of the two rescued cats has not been released.
Firefighters acted quickly to protect residents and pets. The NOFD’s response highlights their dedication to the community.
