A man was shot and killed in broad daylight Friday near Boettner Park in the St. Thomas development, turning a busy New Orleans intersection into an active homicide scene, police said. Officers were called just before 12:55 p.m. to the intersection of St. Thomas and St. Andrew streets, where they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
