Two people were wounded in gunfire last night on Indianapolis' near northwest side, as police scrambled to two scenes just a short walk apart, according to authorities. One victim was found in the 2000 block of North Tibbs Avenue and the other in the 1900 block of North Medford Avenue, near West 20th and West 19th streets. Both were rushed to local hospitals, where Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officials described their conditions as stable.
According to WTHR, IMPD officers first responded to the Tibbs Avenue location after a report of a person shot, then were called to the Medford Avenue scene where the second victim was discovered. An IMPD spokesperson told the station investigators believe the two shootings are connected, though detectives have not released any details about a possible suspect or motive. Police seek tips

Neighbors who noticed anything unusual or captured surveillance footage near West 19th or West 20th streets around the time of the shootings are being asked to share it with police.
