Roadwork on US 61 (Airline Highway) in St. Charles Parish will begin Sunday at 5:30 PM and continue through Friday next week, at 6:00 AM, weather permitting.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), asphalt patching will result in recurring single lane closures on US 61 between Almedia Road and Ormond Boulevard, nightly from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM February 8–12. Drivers should expect delays and plan alternate routes as needed.
DOTD advises motorists to exercise caution in the construction zone and stay updated on traffic advisories through the department’s official announcement page. The work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements in the region.
