
A routine Saturday at the Covington Farmers Market reportedly took a nasty turn when a man smeared feces throughout a public restroom, and now police are asking for the public’s help to track him down.
Police Seek Tips
According to WVUE / Fox 8, the incident happened on Saturday, April 4, inside the market’s public restroom facilities while the Covington Farmers Market was underway. Covington police told the station they are "working to identify" the man and have released an image of the suspect, credited to the Covington Police Department, as part of the investigation.
Police say the man smeared feces throughout the restroom and that the case remains under active investigation as officers follow up on leads and review the shared images.

The Saturday Covington Farmers Market takes place along North Columbia Street near the Covington Trailhead, where public restrooms are available for vendors and visitors, according to the City of Covington. The city’s Cultural Arts & Events page notes that the market is held on N. Columbia Street and highlights Trailhead operations that support weekly events and vendors.
