What was supposed to be a relaxing foot rub turned into a full-blown sting operation in Noblesville on Monday, as undercover officers say they uncovered alleged prostitution at several foot-spa businesses around the city. Police moved in on multiple locations, arrested five women, and booked them into the Hamilton County Jail in what authorities describe as the latest enforcement push aimed at a cluster of small massage and foot-spa operations in the county.
Suspects, arrest locations and booking
Noblesville Police identified the five women as Jianhua Bian, 43; Xiangmei Wen, 48; Xuelian Lin, 56; Yuexxia Zhou, 44; and Lijuan Kong, 55. According to WISH-TV, Bian and Wen were taken into custody at Comfy Foot Spa on Mundy Drive, Lin was arrested at Lucky Foot Spa on Cumberland Road, and Kong and Zhou were arrested at Longevity Foot Spa on Sheridan Road.
Undercover sting and court documents
Court filings from the investigation describe an undercover officer being led to a private room and offered sexual services for cash. In one report, the officer is said to have offered $50 for a specific act, according to You Are Current. The same documents say officers also discovered a worker with a nude customer during the sweep.
Prior searches, multi-agency operations
This is not the first time local spas have drawn police attention. In March 2022, Noblesville police, working alongside state and federal partners, served search warrants at multiple businesses and residences after what authorities called a long-running inquiry, WRTV reported.
All five women arrested in the latest sweep were transported to the Hamilton County Jail and face prostitution-related allegations, with court dates still to be set, according to You Are Current. Formal charges will be determined by the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office as case filings move through county court.
Under Indiana law, simple prostitution offenses are typically treated as misdemeanors. By contrast, promoting prostitution or operating a business that facilitates commercial sex can bring felony charges under the state's indecent acts and prostitution statutes, as outlined by Justia.
Noblesville police have not shared additional public details about the broader investigation, and more information is expected to surface through court records and booking logs as the cases progress. Anyone with information about alleged activity at area spas is urged to contact the Noblesville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division, according to WRTV.
