Tim Hortons is firing up the coffee machines before sunrise in Murfreesboro, as the chain’s first city location opens at 1911 Lascassas Pike on Saturday, June 20. The grand opening starts at 5 a.m., and early risers can cash in on some hefty perks: the first 500 eligible guests will get free coffee for a month, and there will be 99-cent small coffees and Timbits 10-packs while supplies last.
According to Rutherford Source, the one-day celebration will also feature merchandise giveaways and details on the Tims Rewards loyalty program. The new restaurant is set to operate daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will offer drive-thru service along with mobile ordering through the Tim Hortons app. Delivery through participating third-party services is planned as well.
“We’ve heard incredible excitement from Tennesseans as we introduced Tim Hortons in the state last year, and we’re thrilled to be expanding and now welcoming Murfreesboro guests,” Katerina Glyptis, President of Tim Hortons U.S., said in a statement to Rutherford Source. The comment highlights the company’s continued push into Middle Tennessee.
Local Site and Expansion Plans
The Lascassas Pike restaurant takes over the former Krystal building and sits beside the DJ Mart convenience store, per The Murfreesboro Pulse. Local radio station WGNS reports that crews are renovating a former Arby’s at 1622 Northwest Broad Street for a second Murfreesboro location. If both projects open, Tim Hortons will soon be running multiple stores inside the city.

DoorDash already lists a Tim Hortons at 1911 Lascassas Pike, a sign that delivery partners are gearing up for the new spot. Between mobile ordering through the Tim Hortons app and the drive-thru lane, commuters and early risers should be able to grab their coffee with minimal morning drama.
