Showers and a few thunderstorms are possible before 7 a.m., followed by only a slight shower chance through about 2 p.m., with most areas picking up less than a tenth of an inch, according to the National Weather Service Indianapolis.
Winds will turn west to northwest by midmorning, running about 3 to 13 mph and occasionally gusting as high as 25 mph. By late afternoon, skies should be mostly sunny, giving outdoor plans a much better window than the damp start suggests.
Clearer, Cooler Weekend Nights
Saturday night should be mostly clear with a low near 61, but patchy fog could develop after 5 a.m. Sunday. That fog should lift by 9 a.m., leaving mostly sunny skies and a high near 77; another fog risk returns Sunday night as temperatures fall near 56.
Quiet Stretch Through Tuesday
Monday and Tuesday look dry and mostly sunny, with highs near 76 and 78 and overnight lows around 58 and 61. By Wednesday, warmer air returns with a high near 82, and a slight chance of showers may develop Wednesday night.
Summer Hangs On Late Week
Thursday and Friday should reach the low 80s, with a small chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms Thursday before sunshine takes over Friday. No watches or warnings are in effect, but drivers should be ready for slick roads during the early showers and reduced visibility if fog forms around daybreak.
