West Nashville's favorite food-and-drink event is turning 10. Taste of West Nashville returns Wednesday evening to Fat Bottom Brewing, running from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sept. 30, with a lineup of local restaurants, drinks and entertainment marking a full decade of the neighborhood tradition.

The milestone event, reported by News Channel 5 Nashville, brings back longtime favorites Five Points Pizza, Daddy's Dogs and Hattie B's Hot Chicken, three names that have become synonymous with the event over the years. Joining them this year are three new partners: Hattori Nori Hand Roll Bar, Cledis Burgers & Beer and Nosh Desserts, rounding out a menu that spans pizza, hot chicken, hand rolls, burgers and dessert all under one brewery roof.

A Decade of Local Food and Fun

Taste of West Nashville bills itself as a showcase of the restaurants that make the neighborhood a destination for foodies, with participating businesses handing out samples of some of their signature dishes, according to the event's own site, Taste of West Nash. A past edition at the same Fat Bottom Brewing location drew entertainment and tastings from more than 45 local businesses, per a report from fox17.com.

That earlier edition, held on a Tuesday, Oct. 7, ran from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and was likewise open to guests 21 and older who RSVP'd, with a suggested $25 donation benefiting Dream Streets, the same nonprofit partner involved this year. Vendors at that gathering included Five Points Pizza, Hattie B's Hot Chicken, Daddy's Dogs and NoBaked Cooke Dough, showing how the roster of West Nashville eateries has rotated through the years while some staples have remained fixtures of the event.

Free Entry, With a Suggested Donation

This year's event keeps the same accessible format. Admission is free for anyone 21 or older who RSVPs ahead of time, though organizers are recommending a minimum donation of $25 to support the evening's charitable partner.

That partner is Dream Streets, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves under-resourced families in West and North Nashville. According to the organization's own description on its website, Dream Streets is committed to protecting and empowering individuals living in distress, giving Wednesday's tastings a charitable backbone alongside the food and drinks.

With a full slate of returning crowd-pleasers and fresh faces on the menu, this year's Taste of West Nashville looks to build on nearly a decade of turning a single night at Fat Bottom Brewing into one of the neighborhood's most anticipated gatherings.
