Reba McEntire is set to headline one of the real estate industry's biggest annual gatherings, with the Grammy Award-winning singer, actor and businesswoman scheduled to appear at NAR NXT in New Orleans next Saturday. The conference, organized by the National Association of Realtors, is expected to draw more than 10,000 real estate professionals from around the world.

According to New Orleans CityBusiness, McEntire's appearance will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 7, and will be presented by Realtor.com, for which she serves as a brand partner. The outlet reports that Realtor.com CEO Damian Eales will introduce the conversation, during which McEntire is expected to converse with her manager, Justin McIntosh, a former Nashville realtor.

NAR NXT itself runs Nov. 6–8, and registration is already open, according to the National Association of Realtors, which calls the event its flagship gathering for the Realtor community. NAR notes that McEntire and Cotality Chief Data and Analytics Officer John Rogers will both speak at the conference, with Rogers leading a team of more than 300 data scientists and analytics professionals at Cotality, per the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors. Cotality aggregates and analyzes property data to help agents, lenders, insurers and MLSs price homes, assess risk and understand housing-market trends, NAR notes.

A Country Star's Pitch on Homeownership

Per CityBusiness, McEntire will participate in a discussion during NAR NXT's general session touching on entrepreneurship, brand development and adapting to changing markets. The outlet reports she's also expected to discuss her personal connection to homeownership and her partnership with Realtor.com, along with her business ventures beyond music — including television, film, Broadway, fashion and hospitality.

NAR describes McEntire as a music and television icon who rocketed to country stardom in the 1980s before cementing her acting career with the hit sitcom “Reba” in the 2000s. She now stars on NBC's “Happy's Place” and fronts Realtor.com's Nearly Home campaign, a partnership NAR says represents a multi-million-dollar media investment reaching one in two Americans across more than 200 primetime channels. CityBusiness also notes McEntire has maintained a decades-long entertainment career, expanded into various business ventures, and has charitable involvement in Louisiana and along the Gulf Coast.

What Else Is on the NAR NXT Schedule

Beyond the McEntire appearance, NAR NXT brings together real estate professionals and industry leaders for networking opportunities, education sessions and what organizers call real estate's largest expo, which features more than 200 exhibitors showcasing products, technology and business solutions, according to the conference's general information page. The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors reports the conference is expected to include sessions on housing trends, technology, business development, marketing, leadership and emerging industry tools.

Organizers note on the event's schedule page that they're continuing to add education tracks and sessions this fall, meaning the full lineup could still shift before the conference opens. CityBusiness reports that additional conference session and event information is available through the official NAR NXT schedule.
