A 50-year-old Logan man was booked into the Cache County Jail on July 25 after investigators accused him of forcible sexual abuse and stalking in connection with an encounter at a North Logan gym. The allegations are not findings of guilt.
What the complaint alleges
According to court documents described by KVNU and the Cache Valley Daily, the woman reported the incident to law enforcement on July 24. A probable-cause affidavit alleges that Jorge Daniel Jimenez watched her around the pool, followed her and her young son to a hot tub, and touched her without consent, including pinning her leg. The woman left the hot tub and then the gym, the reports say.
Jimenez was charged with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, and stalking, a class A misdemeanor, following a North Park Police Department investigation.
Court process and support
Utah Courts says felony and class A misdemeanor cases are filed in district courts. That general filing rule does not confirm the current status or location of this particular case.
People seeking support after sexual assault can contact the Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault’s English-language statewide helpline, available 24 hours a day at 801-736-4356, according to UCASA. Jimenez is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
