The heavy surf and cold water of Ocean Beach is a constant danger — the incident comes just one week after a man died after being carried out by a rip current.

"For hospitality, there has never been a worse time," says Steve Izzo, who co-owned the restaurant with his wife, Lee Ann.

It's Tops' famed neon signage at Market and Octavia streets was removed on Wednesday.

The bike shop was a social enterprise that taught repair basics and other job skills to more than 500 youth.

San Franciscans will be allowed to eat at restaurants again starting Friday, but only outdoors and under strict rules.

"To see the surveillance video was so shocking to us," one of the owners of the Scandinavian inspired eatery said. "It is ridiculous."

"Now as we’re reopening, we’ve reached the point where we must resume parking enforcement so that we can clean our streets," Mayor London Breed said.

Residents on 9 blocks of Potrero Hill were told to leave their homes as firefighters battled the blaze.

Another man was also caught in a current, but was rescued by a surfer.

While there aren't yet specifics for every sport, the reopening timeline for different activities is becoming clearer.

Despite getting the OK from the city, a handful of SF's flea and farmers markets still face roadblocks to resuming service.

"We know that the overwhelming majority of people out protesting are doing so peacefully, and we trust that will continue," Mayor Breed said in a statement.
