SF health inspectors walked into North Beach Thai restaurant New Thai Elephant and found rodent droppings behind customer booths, on the tea prep tray, on the dish machine drain board, and in six other distinct locations — plus live cockroaches, a dead rat on the floor, condemned food, and a broken refrigerator. The facility is closed, and an abatement conference has been scheduled.
