After 3 years, the neighborhood's newest café is almost ready to start serving customers.

In its 40th year in the Mission, Zeitgeist could be expanding.

The business bills itself as "a healthful food start-up that serves fresh, plant-based, nutrient-dense meals."

The North Beach-based pizzeria will take over a space that's been vacant since 2015.

Named for artist Henry Darger, the new bar aims to offer an artist-friendly space with affordable eats and a drawing area.

The new spot brings a much-loved genre of group dining to San Bruno Avenue.

Despite neighbors' concerns over noise and traffic, Planning voted 7–0 to let the owner reactivate the space.

A bakery has operated out of this location since 1917.

"West Coast-style" frozen custard is headed to a long-vacant spot on Haight St.

The fast-casual restaurant has been in the works for more than six years.

The Michelin-starred eatery will only be closed for a few weeks, owners say.

"We hope Cold Drinks will return a lost glamour to San Francisco," said barman Duggan McDonnell.

Expect a variety of salad bowls, wraps, soups and other veggie-forward prepared meals.
