The Broken Record was more than a cult-hit whiskey bar, having shepherded pop-ups Gentilly and Chicano Nuevo into brick-and-mortar restaurants, but the 50-cent PBR destination is closing October 15.

Five more Walgreens locations are biting the dust across the city, and corporate headquarters is claiming it’s because of “organized retail crime.”
