Two Pʻauilo men were arrested after a Hamakua shooting left a 37‑year‑old with a head wound; one faces attempted murder and weapons charges.

A 19-year-old suspect was arrested in California and is being held in Barstow pending extradition in the June 17 fatal shooting of a Five Below employee. Family has identified the victim as Brandan Lucas.
