Sup. Preston revives long-stymied push for District 5 navigation center
A historic Victorian house standing alone near the corner of Franklin and Turk Streets will be moved to a new home on Sunday morning after nearly eight years of planning.
The site was approved as a navigation center in March, but the city has scrapped those plans, and is now evaluating it for a potential tent village.
Starting with a meeting this Sunday, Preston is taking on the conflict that's stymied two of his predecessors — including Mayor Breed.
